I am always open to new research ideas coming from undergrad, grad students, and postdocs. If you have an interesting idea fitting broadly with our overall perspective on ecosystem recovery, restoration, and ecological engineering and design and consider the academic path, you may want to join us. I offer students a broad base on ecology, restoration ecology, ecological engineering, continuous support to develop their research, help to develop the required analytical, experimental and writing skills, and connections to build their research networks.
What I best want from students and postdocs is motivation, grades may be required to apply for public calls, but enthusiasm, energy, and critical thinking are essential mind tools to achieve great outcomes from research. If you think you have them, this may be a good place for you.
Funding for PhD studies and postdocs is usually dependent on calls from departments, school, national and regional governments or private foundations in the US and elsewhere. We will help you in your search to fund your research.
