Veronica Cruz AlonsonPostdoctoral Researcher
I am a postdoctoral researcher in forest ecology and ecosystem restoration. I studied Forestry Engineering and Environmental Sciences and after that I specialized through a MSc in ecosystem restoration. My PhD focused on Mediterranean forest recovery and restoration in old fields, and how plant-plant interactions and environmental conditions modulate recovery patterns. Currently my research is focused on global forest resilience under the new perturbation regimes linked to global change and the influence of modified landscapes on forest recovery. In my free time, I like hanging out with my friends and my family, especially outdoors enjoying nature.
